Job Description
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Chartered Accountant (CA) to manage and oversee trust accounting functions within our educational institutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in trust accounting preferably within a school or college setting and will be responsible for maintaining financial integrity ensuring compliance and providing strategic financial guidance to the Directors.Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations related to trust accounting including budgeting forecasting and financial reporting.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Accounting: Maintain accurate and uptodate accounting records ensuring financial statements are prepared in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Audit: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits addressing any issues and implementing recommendations.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed financial reports to the Directors providing insights and recommendations.
- Advisory: Offer strategic financial advice to support decisionmaking processes.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
- 510 years of experience in accounting with a focus on trust accounting.
- Prior experience in a school or college setting or educational Trust is desirable
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite particularly Excel.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with financial management in educational institutions.
- Familiarity with trust accounting standards and practices.
- Experience in preparing and managing budgets in a school or college environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Integrity: High ethical standards and integrity in handling financial information.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities and the capability to mentor and guide junior staff.
- Proactive: Proactive approach to problemsolving and process improvement.
