Since its founding in 1999 our client has become a leader in the F&B industry and the industrial and professional service divisions in Bahrain and other countries in the GCC and Asia. They are currently looking to hire a Food Specialist to be based in Bahrain.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Creates and maintains ingredient specification data in compliance with standards throughout ingredient specification lifecycle (including nutrition composition).
Establish routing and workflow for ingredient specification approval.
Coordinates manages and controls ingredient specifications data with QRC R&D Procurement and Suppliers.
Generates reports for ingredient specification creation and changes.
Responsible for specific subset of ingredient categories (i.e. 60 categories to be divided among Ingredient Specialists).
Initiates Material Master request for Ingredients and Complex Ingredients.
Facilitates Shelf Life Data Management for Ingredients.
Qualification & Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Food Science Nutrition Labeling or related field of study.
Experience in the food industry.
Comprehensive understanding of food safety and handling guidelines.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
