Job Description
Overview
The primary purpose of the Supervisor Distribution position is to assist in planning organizing and supervising the daytoday operations of General Store/Periop Warehouse and/or Shipping & Receiving Mail. Supervises and coordinates the activities of the assigned area along with staff involved in receiving storing inventorying issuing and distributing a wide variety of mail and medical supplies
Responsibilities
- Oversees personnel receiving of goods storeroom inventory and supply chain distribution
- Verifies requisitions for accuracy and monitors orders coming in and going out
- Performs daily rounds on the nursing units
- Assists with monitoring and controlling all activities on the loading dock
- Ensures that the Shipping & Receiving and Mail Service areas are maintained
- Assigns daily work and develops effective working procedures
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school Diploma or GED required plus two 2 years of experience in stockroom/warehouse work including obtaining recording storing safeguarding and issuing various types of equipment materials mail and supplies and keeping of detailed records thereof.
One 1 year of experience in supervisor or lead capacity preferred.
