This position is located in PASSPathology and Applied Safety Sciences a department within the Pharmaceutical Sciences function. We drive the nonclinical safety assessment of drug candidates from small molecules to complex biological products during the discovery and development phases at Roche.

Your role is to be involved in the final development and validation of an in vitro assay for developmental toxicity testing. Your impact
Supports the development of safer pharmaceuticals by implementing and validating novel assays for in vitro teratogenicity testing.
Employs cuttingedge methodologies to create and standardize in vitro models for assessing potential teratogenic effects of new .
Aims to improve early detection of developmental toxicity and enhance the predictability of teratogenic risks in drug candidates.
Your profile
As an intern conducting research in our lab you thrive in environments that encourage autonomy and highly value unique contributions to collaborative projects. You are adaptable and creative in problemsolving capable of navigating research challenges effectively. You work well in a team embracing an inclusive approach that leverages diverse perspectives. You are dedicated to fostering a supportive atmosphere engaging in active knowledge exchange and pursuing continuous learning. Your commitment to these principles will be crucial for your success and the advancement of our collective scientific goals.
You have experience in cell culture preferably with pluripotent cells. Prior work with hiPSC culture and stem cell research is highly desirable.
You are currently enrolled in a M.Sc. or in a PhD program in relevant fields such as Biology or Bioengineering with a focus on cellular and molecular biology or you have completed your M.Sc. degree within the past 12 months.
You have handson experience working with flow cytometry and/or microscopy
You have strong analytical and problemsolving skills to address complex scientific questions and challenges in the field of stem cell research
You show meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of research outputs.
You have scientific curiosity as well as effective communication and documentation skills in English.
You are selfmotivated and driven to contribute to transformative projects with the potential for significant health implications.
You have the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment contributing to a teams success while advancing independent research goals.
