The Intake Assistant helps incoming clients to receive the proper treatment needed. They will work closely with other intake assistants and all other staff to treat clients. This position is parttime weekends working 12hour shifts 7pm7am.
Were looking for:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelors degree is a plus
- Previous experience in Crisis Intervention (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills to include suspense/timeframe management
- Previous medical office experience (preferred)
What youll be doing:
- Answer telephone calls and assess urgency of call.
- Schedule appointments.
- Provide information related to policies procedures insurance and services.
- Assist patients with the completion of forms.
- Maintain provider schedules.
- Investigate billing questions as needed.
- Greet clients and visitors.
- Prepare new client information and verify insurance information for clients.
- Maintain electronic medical records.
- Ensure adequate coverage of reception desk.
- Other duties as assigned.
