Job Summary:
This role is for a Medical Assistant (Certified) in an outpatient primary care facility. The position requires a minimum of one year of experience and involves providing clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers. The successful candidate will be responsible for patient care tasks assisting with procedures and performing clerical duties within the scope of their certification. This is a local position requiring a valid Washington state Medical Assistant license.
Location: Seattle Washington United States
Responsibilities:
- Assisting healthcare providers with clinical tasks.
- Performing patient assessments and taking vital signs.
- Administering medications (as permitted by scope of practice).
- Assisting with procedures and treatments.
- Maintaining patient records and charting in Epic.
- Performing clerical duties such as answering phones and scheduling appointments.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Floating to other areas within the clinic as needed based on skillset.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current and valid Washington state Medical Assistant (Certified) license.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- BLS certification.
- Proficiency in healthcare terminology and Epic electronic health record system.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in adult outpatient clinics.
- Experience with specific procedures (as applicable).
Special Considerations:
- This position is for local candidates only; a local address and valid WA MA license are required.
- Candidates must have reliable transportation.
- No on-call responsibilities.
- Weekend work is not required.
- Return-to-office (RTO) policy to be confirmed with the hiring manager.
