If you are an Engineering professional looking for an opportunity to grow while making an impact in the critical lifesustaining water industry Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you with our Power and Water Solutions team!You will join our team in San Francisco CA and lead project engineering and commissioning of Distributed Control System projects for the water and wastewater industries.

You will be an essential part of the Water Solutions group driving bestinclass solutions to our customers across North America.

In this role your responsibilities will be:

  • Manage the engineering design and commissioning of water and wastewater projects.
  • Provide direct engineering advisory assistance to the customer serving as a liaison within the company on issues dealing with equipment or related matters.
  • Direct the efforts of personnel engaged in installation of control systems subsystems equipment or their routine modification/repair.
  • Develop and track project and commissioning plans and ensure deadlines are met
  • Proactively estimate and communicate project resource needs.
  • Track project commissioning plans ensure deadlines are met.
  • Closely monitor project financials to ensure completion on budget and schedule.
  • Optimize the utilization of global resources on engineering activities in support of project objectives
  • Identify and support opportunities for business efficiency and growth.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders A/E firms and customer to help identify key solutions to customer concerns

You anticipate customer needs and provide services that are beyond customer expectations. You deliver messages in a clear compelling and concise manner. You partner with others to get work done.

For this role you will need:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science or a similar technical educational curriculum or significant relevant experience in lieu of education
  • 5 years of related experience in an engineering environment
  • Previous experience working with control systems in addition to prior commissioning experience
  • Ability to work in both an office and field setting depending on project phase
  • Ability to travel up to 10 in North America
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Preferred qualifications that set you apart:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Chemical Mechanical or Computer Engineering
  • Experience in Water or Wastewater industry
