The Role
Versaterm is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to be the cornerstone of a newly formed infrastructure team. We are looking for a motivated handson expert in cloud architecture and security engineering. The architect will be critical in setting our technical direction for the cloud for the entire company and will be involved with nearly every product team.
This is an individual contributor role with leadership opportunities through leadership of task forces mentoring junior engineers and being an advisor for peers around the company.
This position may require up to 25 travel within the US and Canada.
What Youll Bring
- At least one programming language proficiency
- Expertlevel experience in AWS & Azure Cloud knowledge
- Strong Infrastructure as Code Experience including CloudFormation Terraform and Ansible
- Strong knowledge of SOC 2 ISO 27001 NIST 80053 standards
- Strong networking knowledge and experience including securing cloud at scale
- Expertlevel experience in containerization Docker Kubernetes etc.
- CI/CD expertise including Azure DevOps GitHub and Jenkins
- Amazing verbal and written communication skills
Youll Impress Us With
- Public Safety or Government Technology experience
- Experience with onpremises datacenters
