Job Description
The Opportunity
As a Product Security Specialist you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of our SaaSbased products and services throughout their lifecycle. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to implement standardized and streamlined security measures across Euna Solutions Procurement Budget Payments Grants and Special Education product lines; identify and manage vulnerabilities and promote best practices in product development and design as well as SaaS operations.
Responsibilities
- Work with our product architect product leads and development teams to evolve and enhance our product security architectures and product assurance
- Drive consistent standardized and streamlined security best practices and solutions across our product lines. Key areas of focus will include:
- Access control
- Network segregation firewalling and filtering
- Security monitoring
- Vulnerability management
- Change management
- Data retention and backup
- Cryptography and secrets management
- Cloud and application security hardening
- Vendor management
- Software supply chain security
- Participate in product planning efforts to ensure security priorities are integrated into our product roadmaps
- Provide guidance training and support to development teams on security best practices
- Support our compliance team on SOC 2 PCI DSS and TxRAMP assessments
- Document our product and cloud processes and practices and respond to customer questions related to the security of our products
- Establish standardized secure SDLC processes and supporting security operations processes that are aligned with OWASP and NIST frameworks.
- Stay updated on the latest security trends threats and technologies
Qualifications
- 35 years of relevant experience in product security application security or a related area
- Strong understanding of security principles practices and technologies.
- Hands on experience in implementing security mechanisms and controls
- Excellent organizational skills
- Experience with security standards tools and frameworks (e.g. OWASP SANS NIST CIS OWASP CSA etc.
- Experience in secure software development methodologies
- Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively with limited direction at times
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CEH) & training an asset
- Experience with cloud security and DevSecOps practices
- Software development experience a plus
