Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join their team as a Patent Associate in the Department Patent.
Job Overview: The Patent Associate will be responsible for supporting the team in all aspects of patent prosecution and searching. The ideal candidate should have a strong educational background in chemistry preferably in plant or agrochemistry or organic chemistry and some experience in patent Prosecution and Searching.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
The Patent Associate will report to the Department Patent Head and work closely with other members of the patent team. This is a fulltime position with competitive salary and benefits package.

- Conduct prior searches and analyse search results
- Prepare and file patent applications
- Respond to office actions from patent offices
- Conduct patentability and freedomtooperate analyses
- Conduct legal and technical research as required
- Assist with other patentrelated matters as needed
- PhD in Chemistry preferably in plant / Agro or related chemistry field.
- 12 years of experience in patent prosecution and searching
- Knowledge of patent laws and regulations
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Detailoriented and highly organized
