1st shift (United States of America)Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed both major and minor which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Engage in risk management activities with the line of business proactively identifying existing and emerging risks evaluating the significance of the risks and providing support in managing acceptance or mitigation of the identified risks.
2. Lead a team of risk advisors responsible for executing the responsibilities of various operations and enterprise risk programs in accordance with the program requirements (Ie: Risk control selfassessments issues management).
3. Assist business line leadership with identifying assessing controlling mitigating and communicating risks associated with business processes and decisions. Provide oversight and governance to the assigned business unit regarding its control environment.
4. Support the business in the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
5. Provide risk management support and oversight for change activities (both business and regulatory change).
6. Provide oversight and support for open risk audit and regulatory issues. Evaluate the root cause the corrective action plans and work with business partners and GCO advisor team to successfully implement and document remediation.
7. Support the business and the GCO governance & reporting team for all audit and regulatory exam engagements.
8. Communicate with assigned business units leadership regarding activities trends and events pertaining to risk regulatory audit and loan review activities. Promote various risk initiatives and their supporting metrics.
9. Work alongside the GCO Risk Program team in executing and supporting all risk program activities as defined in policy.
10. Coach and develop risk advisor teammates within the GCO.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Business Finance Communications and/or equivalent education training and experience.
2. 8 to 10 years of financial services or risk management experience or demonstrated equivalent proficiency and/or equivalent education training and experience.
3. Excellent verbal written and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and interact with all levels of management.
4. Strong knowledge and leadership skills and the ability to own projects and drive process change.
5. Ability to manage implementation of risk program requirements over multiple Lines of business.
6. Independent thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to make decisions.
7. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
8. Ability to operate in an independent manner without close supervision.
9. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products.
10. FINRA Series 7 24 53 and 66 licenses (Series 9&10 can be used in lieu of 53. Series 63&65 can be used in lieu of Series 66
Preferred Qualifications:
1. MBA or advanced degree.
2. Eight years of Risk experience.
3. Operational and regulatory knowledge of financial institutions
4. Financial Risk Manager (FRM)/Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) or equivalent advanced risk certification
5 FINRA Series 4 license
