Job Description

We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team in Tampa FL specializing in court services. This is a unique opportunity to provide critical mental health support to individuals involved in the legal system helping to facilitate the rehabilitation process reduce recidivism and promote mental wellbeing in a challenging but rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide mental health counseling and assessments to clients referred through the court system.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
Collaborate with judges probation officers attorneys and other court personnel to provide mental health recommendations.
Testify in court regarding treatment plans progress and recommendations as needed.
Deliver crisis intervention and support to clients during legal proceedings.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss client progress and treatment outcomes.
Provide psychoeducational services to clients and their families regarding mental health issues and the legal system.

Requirements:
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida.
Strong knowledge of mental health assessments treatment planning and crisis intervention.
Experience testifying in court or providing reports for legal proceedings is highly desirable.
Excellent communication documentation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with individuals with trauma substance abuse or cooccurring disorders.
Familiarity with the legal system and court procedures.
Ability to handle highpressure situations with professionalism and empathy.
