Responsibilities
Responsibilities of Chief Psychiatrist:
- Maintain overall clinical responsibility for the mental health programs within the facility
- Oversee the completion of mental health screenings and evaluations
- Perform sick call visits and chronic care visits
- Conduct rounds in all units
- Formulate a working diagnosis develop and implement a treatment plan and evaluate/modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes
- Coordinate lead and participate in educational training activities related to mental health care
Qualifications
Qualifications of Chief Psychiatrist:
- Must hold a current unrestricted Psychiatrist license in AZ
- Current DEA registration
- A valid CPR card
- Boardcertification
- Eligible or qualified by the state laws/regulations to practice psychiatry
- Must have a minimum of 35 years experience in primary care specialty of psychiatrist with administrative experience
- Must possess strong written communication and verbal skills
- Must have strong computer skills
