Job Description
Job Title: Quality Engineer (Fastener Manufacturing)
Experience: Min 12 years in Fastener Industry
Salary: 7 to 9 LPA
Job Location: Rohtak
Overview
The Quality Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring that products in the fastener industry conform to established standards of quality and safety. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of manufacturing processes ensuring customer satisfaction and adhering to industry regulations. By applying engineering principles and analytical techniques the Quality Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing quality control and assurance plans that maximize operational efficiency. The role demands a thorough understanding of the fastener industry and its specifications which include materials performance standards and compliance with regulatory requirements. Working closely with manufacturing engineering and supply chain teams the Quality Engineer drives initiatives for continuous improvement and ensures that quality benchmarks are met consistently. By analyzing data and conducting inspections the Quality Engineer safeguards the organizations reputation and contributes to the overall mission of delivering highquality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement quality assurance processes within fastener manufacturing.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with ISO and other relevant standards.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation including procedures work instructions and training materials.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues promptly.
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) techniques to monitor performance metrics.
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective actions.
- Evaluate supplier quality and monitor supplier performance.
- Train and mentor production staff on qualityrelated processes and procedures.
- Conduct inspections and tests on incoming materials and finished products.
- Analyze quality data and generate reports for management review.
- Participate in product development projects to ensure quality considerations are integrated.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing waste and improving product quality.
- Engage in crossfunctional teams to promote quality initiatives across the organization.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in quality engineering practices.
- Support customer complaint investigations and resolution processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality engineering preferably in the fastener industry.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and other quality management systems.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software and tools.
- Experience with quality control tools such as Six Sigma or Lean methodology.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detailoriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Familiarity with quality audit processes and methodologies.
- Valid certification in quality engineering (e.g. CQE) is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Willingness to travel as required for audits and supplier assessments.
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
