Your work environment at EXP
EXP is currently searching for anInspectorfor ourTampa FL officeto work on Florida Department of Transportation projects.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Document all activities on site during duration of the contract and prepare inspection reports.
- Oversee document review and assess contractors compliance with contractual requirements.
- Review construction documents and drawings in order to minimize issues and to reduce the potential for extra work orders during construction.
- Take accurate and detailed measurements of all work performed by the contractor to ensure accurate payments.
- Assist the Project Administrator with the review of contract submissions (critical path schedules RFIs etc)
- Assist the project Administrator with staff scheduling/coordination.
- Attend progress meeting and provide feedback on ongoing construction and issues.
- Supervision of Junior inspector.
- Inspection and testing of soils concrete steel and masonry materials for road and bridge projects. Experience with FDOT construction and specifications desired.
- Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications.
- Observing general job safety practices.
- Monitoring and inspecting the Work Zone Traffic Control in accordance with contract documents.
- The ability to work as a team a plus.
- Possibility of weekend and evening work as dictated by contract.
What your experience looks like
- Experience as a Inspector on Florida Department of Transportation projects in the Tampa FL area.
- High School diploma or equivalent plus 1 years of experience in construction inspection two years of which shall have been in bridge/or roadway construction inspection.
- Valid drivers license
- CTQP Concrete Field Inspector level I
- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Inspector level I
- CTQP Earthwork Inspector Level I & II.
- CTQP Final Estimates Level 1
- Advanced Maintenance of Traffic
- In addition to the position skills and experience requirements (Teamwork leadership Communication) are essential in order to deliver an A plus product to are client.
