Position Details:

The Research Assistant works on NIHfunded and other studies investigating behavioral and cognitive neural correlations of toddlers preschoolers and children with autism and related neurodevelopmental conditions. A range of methods are used including functional and structural magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) physiological measures (e.g. heart rate respiration) computerbased tasks eyetracking and clinical questionnaires. The Research Assistant assists the Senior research scientist and research site staff in supporting aspects of MRI and behavioral data collection including natural nighttime sleep MRI scans management of the research database performing data quality control assisting the principal investigator and senior staff in data analyses summarizing results and assisting in manuscript preparation.


Reporting to the Research Director this is a fulltime nonexempt hybrid position (in office 4 days per week) located in our Midtown New York office.

You Will:

  • Assist the Principal Investigator and site clinicians in outreach recruitment and collection of behavioral data from participating children and/or parents
  • Collect physiological data eye tracking for assigned studies and assist in acquiring neuroimaging data while ensuring a highquality experience for research participants.
  • Responsible for protecting personal and sensitive information and IRB related documentation
  • Conduct regular data quality control
  • Assist the principal investigator and research scientists in data analyses result interpretation and manuscript preparation
  • Conduct and summarize scientific literature review
  • Attend and present at team meetings
  • Other jobrelated duties as assigned

You Have:

  • Bachelors degree in Psychology Neuroscience or other related scientific fields
  • Clinical and/or research experience in autism or related neurodevelopmental conditions

Pay Range

The salary range for the position is posted. Factors such as candidates work experience education/training jobrelated skills internal peer equity as well as market and business considerations affect the salary offered within this range. In addition this salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role) if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
