About the role:
Samsara Technologies India Private Limited is looking for experienced Engineering Managers to be part of our Platform & Infrastructure organization. This org is responsible for building the foundational systems that drive Samsaras products. Our work includes areas such as data insights reporting enterprise management integration capabilities and foundational infrastructure such as container orchestration data storage realtime data ingestion and GraphQL .
As an Engineering Manager at Samsara Technologies India you will:
- Lead and Develop Teams: Hire and mentor a team of engineers fostering their professional growth and building a highperforming team.
- Drive Innovation: Define project plans and roadmaps and collaborate with your team to develop nextgeneration technology across our platform.
- Impactful Work: Develop features that have a tangible impact on our active and future customers enhancing their experience with our products.
- Keep the bar high: Define the standards of operational excellence for your services and features and ensure your team consistently meets these high standards.
- Establish Culture: Play a crucial role in establishing our company culture focusing on our leadership values and operating principles.
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in our Bengaluru office in India. This position requires working hours in IST.

In this role you will:
- Participate with senior leadership and crossfunctional peers to develop a longterm roadmap and strategy for Samsara Technologies India Private Limiteds engineering teams.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to drive technical strategy.
- Set quarterly goals and balance product/engineering priorities for maximum impact
- Drive planning and on the roadmap delivering features and infrastructure enhancements to delight customers
- Set a high standard for the reliability of your components
- Champion role model and embed Samsara Technologies India Private Limiteds cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success Build for the Long Term Adopt a Growth Mindset Be Inclusive Win as a Team) as we expand and scale our India presence.
- Hire develop and lead an inclusive engaged and highperforming team
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Experience building scalable missioncritical SaaS applications
- Experience operating maintaining and improving upon largescale application services
- Strong interpersonal communication skills (including listening speaking and writing) and ability to work well in a diverse teamfocused environment
- Strong track record of delivering products and features that customers love
- Proven record of attracting toptalent and coaching the team
- 8 years of relevant software engineering work experience
- 3 years of handson technical management experience
- You speak English proficiently
An ideal candidate also has:
- B.S. in Computer Science or related technical discipline
- Proven track record for innovation and delivering value to customers (both internal and external).
- Demonstrated ability to build crossfunctional consensus and drive crossteam collaboration
