This position will plan manage and direct the services provided through the Addiction Services Intervention Services Section that includes the Early Intervention Services (HIV EIS) group Harm Reduction group and the Medication Assisted Treatment clinic. Supervises mentors and supports staff. Oversees clinical and nonclinical operations and implements best practices for interventions reducing the spread of disease from substance use disorder (harm reduction) early prevention interventions (early intervention services) and medication assisted intervention treatments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science in Nursing; Experience working with substance use disorder programs and/or patients/clients; Experience with management protocols and administration of medications. Experience supervising staff; Experience with grant management and deliverables.

Directs and oversees nursing staff and operations of a health care program or service in a variety of settings that involve patient care;
Oversees the promotion establishment and expansion of health care services or programming throughout the community;
Develops and implements policies procedures and strategic plans for health care services or programs;
Oversees administration of related grants and funds; researches potential funding or reimbursement sources; reviews modifies and submits applications to funding or reimbursement agencies for programs; projects and monitors budget expenses;
Reviews and evaluates records on programs and services against quality assurance standards and grant requirements;
Reviews recommended changes to services materials or operations and makes changes to programs based on these recommendations;
Reviews and/or prepares reports detailing activities facilities and funding for health programs;
Represents the organization among area leadership government work groups and funding/granting agencies;
Directs personnel administration including the development of staffing plans training programs and job descriptions staff selection and supervision;
Responds to and provides leadership for public health emergencies and significant events;
May be assigned to serve as a member of a Disaster Recovery/Business Resumption team Incident Response team or similar public health response team which may include the conduct of operations on a 24/7 basis at remote locations;
May direct the procurement of service providers for clients requiring services not offered by the department.
Possession of a valid State of Ohio license as a registered nurse or a valid Temporary Permit to practice nursing issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing AND four 4 years of experience conducting or managing public health services or programming one 1 year of which involved supervisory experience. Substitution(s): Possession of a masters degree may be substituted for one 1 year of the required nonsupervisory experience. Possession of a valid Certificate of Authority from the Ohio Board of Nursing to practice nursing as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Clinical Nurse Specialist Certified NurseMidwife or Certified Nurse Practitioner may be substituted for one 1 year of supervisory experience.
