Summary of Position:

We are currently seeking a Senior Vice President and Head of Insurance & Annuity North America to lead a dynamic team focused on bringing the full Member Value Proposition to the member base through the promotion of member benefits as well as commercial sales ensuring the highest level of support and value delivery to our current and prospective members through research education committees/conferences and industry solutions.

As part of the LIMRA and LOMA executive leadership team this position will sit on the Senior Planning Group and be a core part of strategy development and ongoing business planning through collaboration with internal
partners to drive member net promoter scores revenue and operating income growth while achieving corporate objectives. This positions ensures alignment with company goals and oversee sales initiatives from planning to .

As a thought leader in the industry they will directly engage with Industry Executives and lead numerous executive advisory forums sharing insights and driving discussions on key trends and innovations to advance the Life Insurance and Annuity industries.

Job Description:

Reporting to the CEO the Senior Vice President and Head of Life Insurance & Annuity North America leads teams responsible for member benefits and sales retention of existing solutions and sales operations. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for communicating with staff and management directing coaching and motivating direct reports. They must understand LIMRA and LOMAs business model and objectives and evaluate priorities to ensure adherence to the business strategy.

The candidate will work with members at all levels (including CSuite LIMRA and LOMA Board of Directors and member company CEOs)

This position will be responsible for leading an organization of 20 employees located throughout the United States with a small concentration of hybrid employees in Windsor CT and Atlanta GA.

Responsibilities for staff include making employment decisions evaluating coaching and developing direct reports and ensuring the team meets business goals and customer expectations. At the business level annual sales and business planning and compensation setting are critical components. The Senior Vice President and Head of Life Insurance & Annuity performs these duties in line with LIMRA and LOMAs Core Values.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10 15 years experience with life individual insurance and/or retirement organizations
  • >15 years of demonstrated leadership of a team of diverse sales professionals including as a leader of leaders
  • Has a strong reputation and is highly credible with member company executives based on industry knowledge and experience
  • Is confident speaker and outstanding communicator in all mediums and with all audiences
  • BA/BS/MBA degree in a related field
