Responsibilities:
Lead financial management accounting and control functions to optimize processes and team performance.
Implement IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 standards enhancing integration with actuarial functions.
Produce highquality financial and regulatory reports informing executive decisions and fulfilling external requirements.
Forge strategic partnerships within various finance teams to manage financial risks and deliver business insights.
Analyze financial data to drive competitiveness and profitability improvements.
Guide business planning and product launch processes to align with strategic objectives.
Maintain robust financial controls ensuring audit readiness and compliance with regulations.
Requirements:
MustHaves:
Qualified CA (SA) with 710 years of postqualification experience.
Proven experience in life insurance or financial services.
Expertise in IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 standards.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
NicetoHaves:
Experience in financial reporting within a listed group.
Familiarity with South African regulatory and tax requirements.
Proficiency in automating financial processes for reporting efficiency.
