We are working on numerous projects to transform the finance tribe to enable us to better manage risk scale our operations and enable growth. This is an unique opportunity to be a key contributor to building the future of finance and Wise.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Project Leadership:
Lead the project management of complex finance transformation projects.
Working with project/workstream owners define project scope objectives deliverables timelines and resource requirements ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and financial goals.
Develop and manage detailed project plans budgets and supporting prioritisation.
Track key milestones and dependencies escalating potential delays or conflicts as needed.
Stakeholder & Change Management:
Act as the primary point of contact and build strong relationships with senior finance leadership product analytical and engineering teams external vendors and other key business stakeholders.
Facilitate workshops conduct presentations and foster effective communication across all project levels to ensure alignment and buy-in.
Lead change management activities including communication plans training strategies and user adoption initiatives to ensure a smooth transition and sustainable impact.
Process & System Improvement:
Collaborate with finance process owners to identify opportunities for efficiency gains standardization and automation.
Working with our functional and product team owners oversee the design configuration testing and deployment of new financial systems and processes ensuring they meet business requirements and regulatory compliance (US or UK listing requirements).
Drive best practices in financial operations leveraging technological advancements and industry benchmarks.
Team & Vendor Management:
Provide guidance to project team members both internal and external.
Manage vendor relationships and performance ensuring deliverables meet contractual obligations and quality standards.
Monitor and manage project budgets ensuring adherence to financial targets.
Reporting & Governance:
Establish robust project governance structures including regular progress reporting steering committee updates and issue resolution processes.
Monitor project performance against KPIs identify deviations and implement corrective actions.
Ensure adherence to project management methodologies quality standards and internal controls.
Qualifications :
You have a thorough knowledge of Finance or have worked as a Finance Programme Manager
5 years of progressive experience in project management with at least 3 years specifically leading large-scale finance transformation initiatives in industries such as Financial Services FinTech or regulated listed companies.
Solid experience with project management methodologies (e.g. Agile Waterfall Hybrid) and tools (e.g. Jira Asana Google Suite). Project Management Professional (PMP) PRINCE2 or equivalent certification a bonus.
Demonstrable track record of successfully managing complex cross-functional projects.
Experience with IPO processes and stock exchange listings (US preferred)
Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes (e.g. Procure-to-Pay Order-to-Cash Record-to-Report Financial Planning
