JOB SUMMARY
The Program Manager Development and Communications will focus on managing donor relationships securing new funding opportunities and overseeing communication strategies to support Aspire LAs growth and impact.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Philanthropy Fundraising and Grant Writing
Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies and campaigns that align with Aspire LAs institutional goals.
Cultivate and manage relationships with individual donors corporate sponsors and foundations to build a robust network of support.
Develop innovative fundraising initiatives to diversify revenue streams and attract new donors.
Create and coordinate a calendar of onetime and recurring fundraising events donor appreciation initiatives and annual giving programs.
Research write and submit grant proposals to secure funding that advances Aspire LAs mission and increases student growth and achievement.
Manage grant reporting compliance and monitoring to meet the requirements of funding agencies.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop budgets and narratives for grant applications.
Public Relations Communications and External Affairs
Develop and implement communications strategies that highlight Aspire LAs impact on student achievement educational programs and school success stories.
Collaborate with school administrators and educators to create and distribute content that promotes school events academic achievements student success and innovative teaching practices.
Establish and maintain relationships with local and educational media outlets to secure coverage on school programs events and achievements.
Engage with parents school boards and community stakeholders to foster support for Aspire LAs initiatives and programs ensuring alignment with community needs and regional goals.
Create parent and community communications including newsletters and regionwide announcements to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
Collaborate with schoolbased staff school to coordinate school and regionwide public events such as open houses parent engagement activities.
Work closely with the Vice President Regional Operations and Strategy to draft and finalize communications to state authorizers gathering and organizing relevant data to support the charter school renewal process.
Systems and Data Management
Manage donor and funding trackers to ensure accurate and uptodate donor information and interactions.
Implement efficient systems for data collection reporting and internal processes to support development initiatives.
Develop and maintain dashboards and metrics to provide insights into fundraising performance and donor engagement and generate regular reports for the internal management team and Executive Director.
Analyze fundraising trends and donor engagement data to inform future strategies and optimize campaign outcomes.
Generate reports on fundraising donor engagement and communication efforts to provide insights for continuous improvement.
Analyze data to tailor fundraising and communication efforts with a focus on continual improvement.

Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Competencies:
The Program Manager Development and Communications must share Aspire Los Angeles commitment to dismantling systemic racism and integrating the three As (antiracism academics agency) into every aspect of the regions educational system and their role.
Data management and analysis skills.
Strong grant writing and acquisition experience including research application management and reporting.
Minimum educational level:
Experience required:
At least 3 years of experience in fundraising grant writing communications public relations or a related role.
Experience within nonprofit or K12 education sector preferred.
Experience in managing donor relations and securing funding from individual donors corporate sponsors and/or foundations.
Experience developing and executing communication strategies including media relations social media management and marketing campaigns.
Work authorization requirements:
Clear the Department of Justice background screening
Authorized to work in the United States
Provide health (TB) clearance (renewed every four years)
