Billing Manager
Our client is a wellestablished NonProfit healthcare organization based in St. Petersburg Florida that offers its employees the support and understanding you would expect from toprated management.
The Company: Our client is a behavioral health organization that provides quality care for patients who are experiencing an acute mental emotional or substance use crisis.
The Position: Our client is looking for a Billing Manager to oversee a billing department at a nonprofit health center.

Requirements:
- At least 3 years experience in the field of behavioral health medical claims reimbursement strongly preferred
- Medicaid or Medicare billing experience required
- 3 years of supervisory experience supporting a billing team required
- Bachelors degree in finance or business discipline or associates degree with knowledge of medical reimbursement and related terminology including CPT coding.
Responsibilities:
- The clinic is open Monday Friday 8 am 5pm
- Ensure that all tasks related to the running of an effective billing department are completed including but not limited to completing all prebilling and billing processes.
- Oversight of the billing process of various departments to ensure that the information for clients is correct and that their billing system generates an acceptable claim.
- Communicate and coordinate with external billing agency on outstanding claims analyze the receivable accounts and payments received to identify trends and denial issues that need to be corrected.
- Working rejected and denied claims corrected claims and rebilling them within timely filing guidelines.
- Establishing a relationship with major funding sources and filing grievances against third party payers as necessary and ensuring that all parts of the processes are clearly documented.
- Must exercise excellent analytical skills to seek out problems in the billing process and recommend viable solutions.
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of coding and billing rules from each thirdparty payer.
- Knowledge of credentialing process for staff providing services
