Job Description
Overview
Element has an opportunity for a Trainee Test Engineer to join our growing team in Wednesbury. This is a great opportunity to develop your engineering career within a global Testing Inspection and Certification business.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and calibrating all test equipment to UKAS and OEM requirements
- Preparation of test samples / specimens and fixture preparation
- Testing materials and components to various specifications & standards
- Preparing and compiling test reports when required
- Adhering to regulations and policies regarding health and safety
- Maintaining accurate and systematic records
- Performing tasks as assigned by the Senior Laboratory staff
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic working environment
Skills / Qualifications
- A good general education
- Experience in operating workshop machinery is preferred but not essential
- An inquisitive approach to learn about product engineering and testing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confident punctual and well organised
- The ability to develop strong working relationships with both colleagues & clients
- Able to work to tight deadlines
