Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Provide mechanical designs drawings and related information for customers suppliers and manufacturing using CAD PDM and related software
- Work with other departments on moderately complex tasks to identify the best course of action
- Analyze the design for tolerance stackup ease of manufacture and compliance to requirements/standard processes/specifications/etc.
- Provide markups for other team members
- Check the work of other team members for accuracy and compliance with current practices
- Update department procedures
- Support special initiatives within the department
EDUCATION:
- Certification / degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of mechanical drafting/design/engineering or equivalent experience
- Education which would provide the level of knowledge skill and ability required for this role
SKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS:
- Mechanical drafting
- General knowledge of Heim products and manufacturing processes
- Solid modeling and drafting in SolidWorks
- CAD and PDM Software
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Inquisitive
- Strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft 365 software
- Documentation / taking notes
