Job Description
The Maintenance Tech maintains a fullyfunctioning and clean facility by ensuring the grounds buildings and equipment are kept in a safe condition by following an established maintenance program. He or she is responsible for all maintenance procedures and repairs and performs a variety of skilled duties in building trades such as plumbing painting carpentry electrical work appliance repair boiler and HVAC repair and building and facility remodeling/repair.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED (with further technical coursework preferred) and experience in residential and/or commercial property maintenance that includes general maintenance construction/remodeling mechanical HVAC electrical and plumbing. He or she must be a team player who can work in a fastpaced and challenging environment must be physically able to perform the duties of the job (move heavy equipment/machinery climb ladders perform repetitive motions walk/stand etc. must have strong communication and customer service skills and must be willing to work a flexible schedule and be on call which includes nights weekends and holidays.
COMPENSATION
- Starting $12/Hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs routine maintenance and cleaning for the grounds facility and equipment following all safety procedures and precautions
- Maintains the facility systems such as HVAC refrigeration plumbing and electrical according to maintenance schedules
- Maintains and repairs walls furniture cabinets windows and doors/locks
- Stocks maintenance supplies for work areas
- Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment tools and supplies are properly stored
- Completes any reports or logs
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred
- Three years of progressive and relevant experience
- Experienced in a wide variety of trade skills (carpentry plumbing HVAC and electrical) and the tools associated with them
- Able to bend kneel squat stand and lift heavy objects as needed
- Communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with coworkers vendors and others
- Able to work independently on projects and as a member of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Highly professional and dependable
- Able to work a flexible schedule which may include working days evenings weekends and holidays
- Able to withstand being the the cold for long periods of time to stock coolers
