Milacron is looking for a Gearbox Mechanic to join our team in McPherson Ks. As a Gearbox Mechanic you will be responsible for Work Youll Do: Keep records of gearboxes inspections serial numbers evaluations locations etc. Maintain equipment in good working condition reporting on issues malfunctions or defective parts. Tear down and diagnose incoming gearboxes assemble and prepare gearboxes for shipment. Work independently; assist and train all new hires and less experienced mechanics. Maintain plant standards in areas of safety quality delivery cost 5S housekeeping teamwork and attendance. Demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress or emergency situations priority changes or new assignments. Team: You will be on a team of 5 within Gearbox department working first shift. Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or GED is required. 1 to 3 years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be able to drive a forklift or company vehicle. Requires valid state drivers license and certification. Preferred Qualifications: Technical school training preferred. Assembly 2 years and manufacturing 1 year preferred.
