TPF Recruitment is delighted to represent an independent firm of Chartered Accountants in their search for a Senior Accountant to join their friendly and collaborative team in Brighton. Our client is a wellestablished accountancy practice with a familyoriented culture offering fantastic exposure to a variety of clients while fostering teamwork and professional growth. They have a forwardthinking approach prioritising cloudbased bookkeeping and advisory services in addition to traditional accounting and tax compliance.
As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for providing wellrounded accounting services to a diverse client base focusing on Xerobased cloud accounting VAT management accounts and tax returns. While yearend accounts and tax compliance remain crucial the firm is looking for someone who can add value through advisory services and client support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing statutory accounts and tax returns for a range of clients
- Managing VAT returns and management accounts
- Supporting clients with cloudbased bookkeeping using Xero
- Advising clients on financial processes and technologydriven solutions
- Working closely with business owners to provide tailored financial insights
- Assisting with general business advisory services
Requirements
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice
- Strong knowledge of Xero and other cloudbased accounting software
- Ability to handle a varied workload including VAT accounts management accounts and tax returns
- A proactive approach with a strong advisory mindset
- Partqualified fully qualified (ACA/ACCA) or qualified by experience candidates welcome
