Your role
Were seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our dynamic People Analytics team. In this critical role you will be responsible for designing implementing and optimizing our new cloud data warehouse solution using Microsoft Fabric. By enabling seamless data integration and supporting advanced analytics you will play a pivotal part in empowering our organization to make datadriven workforce decisions.
This is a contract position for a period of 1 year.
Responsibilities:
Design develop and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest transform and store data in Microsoft Fabric.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable data solutions.
Ensure data quality accuracy and consistency by implementing rigorous validation and governance standards.
Optimize the performance and efficiency of the cloud data warehouse for analytics and reporting purposes.
Develop and implement security protocols to safeguard sensitive HR and workforce data.
Assist in the migration of existing data assets to Microsoft Fabric ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption.
Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and infrastructure issues as they arise.
Stay informed about industry best practices emerging technologies and updates related to Data Warehousing.
What were looking for
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role with a strong background in designing and implementing cloudbased data solutions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric (or experience with similar cloud data warehouse platforms such as Azure Synapse or Snowflake).
Advanced SQL skills and handson experience with ETL frameworks and tools.
Solid understanding of data modeling architecture and integration techniques.
Experience working with HR or peoplerelated data is a strong plus.
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
A degree in Computer Science Data Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Bilingual: French and English is an asset.
