Job Title: Accounts Officer
Job Summary:
The Accounts Officer is responsible for managing financial transactions maintaining accurate financial records preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations including Goods and Services Tax (GST). The role requires attention to detail strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial management software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and process financial transactions including accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation.
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
- Assist in budgeting forecasting and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles tax regulations and company policies.
- Handle GST calculations filing and reconciliation of GST returns.
- Stay updated with GST laws and ensure timely compliance with tax regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders on financial matters.
- Support the finance team in other accountingrelated tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g. CPA ACCA) is an advantage.
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles including GST compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Tally).
- Strong knowledge of GST regulations tax filings and compliance.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
