Job Description

This position can be located in Switzerland (Zug) or Germany (Frankfurt).

Your area of work
Within the Eurex Fixed Income / FX (FIC) Derivatives Sales team you will be responsible for managing the Central & Southern European FIC Derivatives Sales team and be in charge for a targeted customer portfolio made of banks proprietary trading brokerage firms and buyside firms. In addition you will be required to analyze the market potential and identify build relationships with and recruit new Eurex clients in Europe. You will also develop sales concepts for new and existing Eurex products and coordinate sales activities in Europe in cooperation with other Eurex departments.

Your responsibilities

  • As Head of Unit you manage the Eurex Fixed Income and FX (FIC) Derivatives Sales team within the geographic area of responsibility (Central & Southern Europe)
  • Support the Global Head of Fixed Income and FX Sales with setting and prioritizing Sales targets their timely organization of sales processes sales target tracking team performance measurement etc.
  • Efficient team management including staff development resource allocation and creation of pioneering team culture
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing plans for Central & Southern Europe while creating synergies between the regions and ensuring proper coordination with global management on targets and revenue projections
  • Work in close alignment with other FIC Derivatives Sales teams (UK France & Northern Europe US Asia) as well as FIC Client Solutions Global Repo Sales Business Sales Management and Global Relationship Management
  • Manage sales budget by establishing a good understanding of costs develop relationships with accounting and working with sales management team to forecast investments
  • Proactively manage the existing relationships with Eurex customers and drive client acquisition efforts in the geographic area of responsibility build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders business managers and project teams of both buyside sellside institutions and relevant vendor/ technology companies
  • Act as a senior liaison between the customer base in the geographic area of responsibility and other Eurex departments such as Product and Business Development Market Supervision Customer Support Operations Risk IT and Marketing
  • Serve as product expert for the current Fixed Income I FX Derivatives product portfolio by understanding market needs developing product strategy and planning sales activities for existing and prospective customers on both the buy and sell side
  • Produce marketing and sales materials; give presentations and/or training sessions for traders IT staff backoffice staff etc. on Eurex products functionalities and technology
  • Identify develop and maintain a sales pipeline and opportunities to increase trading and clearing flow from both existing and new clearing members and their clients while capturing crossborder opportunities between the EU and the UK
  • Manage internal senior management visits and reporting
  • Mentorship of talent for potential career progression at the exchange/clearinghouse
  • Represent Eurex in marketing its products and services at conferences
  • Highly motivated to work autonomously in a dynamic environment willingness to constantly learn highly organised flexible and able to frequently travel

Your profile

  • Highly selfmotivated team oriented individual with 10 years of successful clientfacing sales experience in the futures securities or financial services industry
  • Experience in managing highly professional Sales executives is a plus
  • Extensive knowledge of the European financial markets regulatory landscape and key players including understanding of the latest changes to the regulatory landscape in Europe their potential impacts on financial legislation and the trends towards centralized clearing
  • Knowhow of Fixed Income and FX Derivatives products and markets as well as a good understanding of the business motivations of various market participants (brokers market makers CTAs hedge funds etc. in the geographic region of responsibility
  • Strong organizational problemsolving and analytical skills
  • Confident with strong communication able to engage senior internal & external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work alone and as part of a team with the objective to meet common target achievement
