Global Sales Strategy & Operations (GSSO) is the team that helps shape Gartners missioncritical sales priorities and works with sales leaders to drive tactical and analytical insights. As an associate on the GSSO team youll be at the forefront of the ongoing transformation of Gartners sales force which delivers approximately $4.9B in annual revenue and working to drive sustained doubledigit growth. You will partner with business leaders across Gartner to support a global sales force comprised of more than 5000 associates who sell to every major function industry and market sector around the world.
About this role:
The Content Marketing Manager is part of the Global Marketing team in GSSO. The Global Marketing team is focused on driving topline revenue and increasing seller productivity.
The job of the content marketers is to develop and execute content strategies that attract and engage target prospects for Global Business Sales (GBS)/Global Technology Sales (GTS) and their aligned conferences. The primary responsibility is to optimize the content on gartner/en/ using bestinclass SEO & AIsearch performance criteria to capture prospects particularly at the Clevel who convert through to DSOs at a high rate within the researchbased sales pipeline.
Content strategy should also boost topoffunnel exposure for Gartner Conferences both to capture interest of potential registrants and position conferences as the ultimate proofofconcept for research & advisory (R&A) new business.
Content marketers work closely with the SEO team to develop keyword strategies for their assigned roles/conferences including the choice of priority and secondary keywords and the content types used to target a prominent ranking for those keywords. Content marketers are accountable for meeting KPIs on their SEOled content portfolios. You will be responsible for getting and keeping 80 of priority keywords to rank in positions #1#3 in organic search results increasing aggregate form fills from rolebased SEOled content by 10 YoY and increasing DSO volume from SEO/direct channels by 20 YoY.
What you will do:
Partner closely with GTS/GBS/conferences marketers to integrate content planning and development tightly with GBS/GTS marketing campaigns and event timelines using buyingtrigger insights from marketing and sales to ensure that content quality and differentiation compels engagement among target Clevel prospects.
Work closely with SEO partners to verify priority keywords and identify new secondary keywords to scale organicsearch ranking opportunities and stay resilient to AIdriven changes in the search landscape.
Ideate (concept and outline) the most impactful content mix to drive content strategies and then produce in part by leveraging AI tools and freelance resources the right content at the right time and at the right scale.
Fully integrate Gartner ChatGPT (and other AI tools where available) into content strategy and creation.
Explore opportunities for brandlevel and crossfunctional narratives that position Gartner as a valuable partner and resource to Clevel prospects.
When appropriate write and/or edit content marketing pages and assets.
Work closely with the rest of the content team to ensure that rolebased and crossfunctional content. Receives adequate promotion on owned channels. Maintains a distinctive voice that adheres to Gartner brand standards and helps bring the brand to life across media and channels. Flows through the operations channel at sufficient quality and scale.
What you will need:
Experience developing content strategies designed to attract organicsearch and other nonpaid traffic. At least 5 years experience in B2B contentstrategy development that incorporates SEOoptimized content is required. A working knowledge of the modern AIdisrupted SEO landscape is preferred.
Thorough understanding of B2B marketing buyer journeys and the interaction of marketing and sales enablement. A working knowledge of a range of content types and how they drive different outcomes in those buyer journeys is preferred.
Expertise in translating complex concepts into everyday language at an elevation appropriate for Clevel executives. At least 5 years B2B writing experience preferably creating B2B content on critical challenges strategies and outcomes of interest to Clevel executives is required. Strong editing/editorial skills.
Proficiency with ChatGPT and other AI tools including their use governance and oversight for contentcreation purposes. Proficiency of and adaptability with content marketing and planning platforms and tools in general is also needed.
Passion for business and technology
Bachelors degree; journalism or communications major preferred.
Creativity to design deliver and manage new processes/campaigns/content types to impact the business in a positive manner
To collaborate to achieve meaningful progress working with others inside and outside of the marketing department
A strong desire to positively impact the customer experience
Ability to make decisions and independently manage projects

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 84000 USD 116000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to education training experience professional achievement business need and location. In addition to base salary employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a rolebased uncapped sales incentive plan.
