Job Title:Engineering Manager
Location:Chennai / Trichy / Pune
Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Managertolead our development team. This role requires a handson leader with a strongtechnical background in both frontend and backend development particularlywith Angular React .NET Core Azure services and both SQL and NoSQLdatabases. The ideal candidate will have experience in reviewing code andarchitecture optimizing development processes and ensuring the delivery ofhighquality software products.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to a team of software engineers ensuring best practices in software development and engineering.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle from planning and design to implementation and deployment.
- Review and approve architectural designs and code to ensure they meet high standards of quality security and scalability.
- Actively participate in code reviews giving constructive feedback and mentoring team members in best coding practices.
- Guide and support development in frontend frameworks like Angular and React ensuring adherence to best practices and design principles.
- Provide technical expertise in backend development using .NET Core working closely with the team to optimize performance and reliability.
- Ensure integration between frontend and backend components is seamless and meets performance expectations.
- Lead the implementation and management of solutions using Azure cloud services(App Services Azure Functions Azure DevOps etc..
- Oversee database architecture and design working with both SQLand NoSQLdatabases to optimize storage retrieval and data security.
- Drive automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices to streamline deployments and maintain high availability.
- Continuously evaluate and improve development processes ensuring alignment with industry standards and emerging technologies.
- Track team performance set achievable goals and foster a collaborative environment that encourages growth and innovation.
- Manage mentor and develop a team of engineers conducting regular performance reviews and providing feedback to foster individual growth and skill development.
- Promote a culture of learning encouraging the team to stay updated on emerging technologies tools and best practices.
- Resolve team conflicts coordinate work assignments and foster a positive productive work environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degreein Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.
- 12 years of experiencein software development with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
- Strong proficiency in frontend frameworkslike Angularand React.
- Handson experience with .NET Corefor backend development along with knowledge of C#.
- Deep understanding of Azure services including App Services Functions and DevOps practices.
- Experience with SQL(e.g. SQL Server MySQL) and NoSQLdatabases (e.g. CosmosDB MongoDB).
- Proven ability to review software architectureand code quality ensuring adherence to high standards.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Strong problemsolving skills with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a range of stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with microservices architectureand containerization tools (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
- Previous experience in a cloudnative development environment and knowledge of multitenant architectures.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
