Job Description
- Qualifications & Requirements:
- A commercial Tertiary qualification.
- Extensive knowledge of fresh produce particularly fruits and vegetables and their procurement processes.
- A valid drivers license.
- Namibian Citizen
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with suppliers.
- Exceptional organizational and timemanagement skills.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement plans in collaboration with the National Buyer.
- Communicate daily with suppliers regarding product availability pricing delivery schedules and promotions.
- Ensure timely placement of daily orders based on growing program needs and store demand.
- Monitor stock levels and product quality in the distribution center (DC).
- Maintain appropriate levels of packaging stock and ensure stock quality.
- Verify invoices and goods received (GRVs) for accurate pricing and quantities.
- Record daily intake and track slot times for products/suppliers.
- Adhere to company buying and trading procedures.
- Perform additional administrative duties related to trading.
