Cabin Resource Management Ltd. has built a foundation of experience and dedication to quality and innovative solutions in forestry heritage wildfire planning and resource analysis. We are currently looking to add a MidLevel Senior Forest Technician to our Forestry team.


Responsibilities:


As a Senior Forest Technician you will be responsible for the following:

  • Leading the planning and layout of road and harvest systems
  • Lead all aspects of data management in the field and office
  • Ensure legal regulatory and client specific requirements are met with deliverables
  • Effective supervision in the field and providing training for all crew members

Qualifications and Experience:

  • An above and beyond commitment to safety
  • Education in forestry field with a Forestry Tech Diploma or Degree
  • Registered or eligible for registration with ABCFP as RPF or RFT (or working towards)
  • Experience with road and cutblock layout within BC (minimum 4 years)
  • Experience utilizing LiDAR data for planning and locating roads and cutblocks
  • A firm understanding of forest policy guidelines and BCs regulations
  • Experience in steep slope layout and deflection analysis SP data collection and drafting riparian assessments forest health surveys.
