Responsibilities
The Panther is hiring for the following positions: NEWS STAFF WRITER 3 Hours Per Week) The staff writer position involves developing Chapmancentric story ideas and pitches conducting indepth research and producing accurate unbiased and wellcrafted articles. This role involves identifying and interviewing key sources building relationships within the community and working closely with section editors to refine story ideas and articles. The writer will participate in editorial meetings meet strict publication deadlines and cover campus events meetings and breaking news as required. FEATURES AND ENTERTAINMENT WRITER 3 Hours Per Week) The Features and Entertainment writer position involves developing Chapmancentric story ideas and pitches conducting indepth research and producing accurate unbiased and wellcrafted articles. This role involves identifying and interviewing key sources building relationships within the community and working closely with section editors to refine story ideas and articles. The writer will participate in editorial meetings meet strict publication deadlines and cover campus events meetings and breaking news as required. SPORTS WRITER 3 Hours Per Week) The Sports Writer is responsible for overseeing the coverage of all sportsrelated content including campus sports intramural activities and significant local and national sports events. STAFF PHOTOGRAPHER 3 Hours Per Week) The Staff Photographer is responsible for capturing images that complement the newspapers written content. This role involves photographing a variety of events portraits and features as well as working closely with the editorial team to ensure visual consistency and quality.
