Job Title: Specialist CAD Cable Designer

Work Schedule: 9/80 (Every other Friday off!

Job Description:
This role performs a wide range of CAD design assignments in support of the cable engineering organization including the creation of models and/or drawings. As a Designer for small to medium programs reporting to Project Designer. Works in accordance with program documentation plan. Assures design documentation complies with the program requirements organizations processes and industry standards. Prepares accurate drawings with proper dimensions and instructions with oversight from senior Project Designer or Engineering IPTL.
Essential functions include:
- Provide CAD support (PTC Creo) throughout the product development process
- Generate and/or modify products models drawings and documentation
- Support the control of digital data files and drawings
- Prepare and incorporate engineering change orders
- Input data and assure hardware structures are accurate in a Product Data Management tool
- Support resolution of problems/issues in CAD design/drawings and provide corrective actions.
- Compliance with command media & standard
Essential Functions:
- 4 Years of able pin to pin 3D routing experience
- Highlevel utilization of solid modeling/drawing application such as PTC Creo Parametric.
- Proficient with applicable government and industry standards including ASME Y14.100 (Engineering Drawing Practices).
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering Electrical Engineering Technology or Computer Engineering Mechanical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- 2 years using PTC Creo experience
- 2 years of AutoCAD experience
- 2 years pintopin wire modeling experience
- Experience interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams for cable designs
