About the role

  • Provide quality evidencebased occupational therapy services to patients within inpatient mental health settings collaborating with Level 3 Occupational Therapists to codesign recovery programs tailored to patient and environmental needs.

  • Work closely with the mental health inpatient multidisciplinary team (MDT) to address functional and therapeutic needs of patients applying a strengthsbased traumainformed approach in all interventions.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments treatment psychological interventions and discharge planning for patients with complex and challenging mental health needs.

  • Participate in afterhours therapeutic programs aimed at reducing restrictive practices while actively promoting patient engagement in group settings and decisionmaking processes.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills both verbal and written to work effectively with patients families and multidisciplinary teams contributing to group decisions and fostering a collaborative care environment.
