About the role
Provide quality evidencebased occupational therapy services to patients within inpatient mental health settings collaborating with Level 3 Occupational Therapists to codesign recovery programs tailored to patient and environmental needs.
Work closely with the mental health inpatient multidisciplinary team (MDT) to address functional and therapeutic needs of patients applying a strengthsbased traumainformed approach in all interventions.
Conduct comprehensive assessments treatment psychological interventions and discharge planning for patients with complex and challenging mental health needs.
Participate in afterhours therapeutic programs aimed at reducing restrictive practices while actively promoting patient engagement in group settings and decisionmaking processes.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills both verbal and written to work effectively with patients families and multidisciplinary teams contributing to group decisions and fostering a collaborative care environment.
