About the Role:
INNOVATE WITH US: JumpCloud is hiring innovationfocused Principal Engineers for our Labs team. Drive fastmoving change across the organization and collaborate across our entire product engineering group. Experience with AI Auth Identity & Devices is a bonus. AWS Kubernetes Golang as well.
As we continue to grow the JumpCloud internationally we are hiring a principal engineer for JumpCloud Labs. Youll have the opportunity to play a key role in the success and development of our engineering teams in addition to growing your own career. We are seeking a senior engineer who is passionate about building great products with forward looking vision.
You will be responsible for building new technology initiatives. Youll build out features help drive architecture define best practices and enable platform quality. Were operating at startup scale and speed and as a senior engineer you will work on prototyping and solving the problem in an innovative way.
What youll be doing:
- Prototyping and building POC for new ideas which JC is looking to invest in.
- Responsible for evaluating prototyping and showcasing forward looking technology pieces which are of interest to JumpCloud customers.
- As an active member of the JC Labs team partnering with peers and other teams to build lead and inspire new initiatives.
- You work closely with the Architecture team to drive innovation in all areas of the JumpCloud product portfolio.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight to other teams in your areas of expertise.
- Plus: Design develop and deploy AI solutions to address business challenges and optimize performance. Work with business units product teams and stakeholders to identify use cases and deliver AI solutions.
Were looking for:
- 10 years experience as an engineer and leading teams.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS GCP or Azure)
- Fullstack experience ability to quickly learn new technologies and concepts (backend frontend data pipelines AuthNZ PKI Identity Windows/macOS/iOS/Linux/Android )prevalent technologies: Golang AWS Terraform Kubernetes
- Experience working in a distributed systems environment
- Strong collaboration skills to help technically drive and oversee complex projects on multiple teams from conception to completion
- Ability to work with ambiguity and drive clarity while delivering incremental value
- Proven ability to thrive in a fastmoving teamoriented collaborative environment
- Strong technical foundation in software engineering design principles
- We are also looking for experience with relevant libraries and frameworks in the Machine Learning and AI space (also beyond current GenAI trends) and for building performant and scalable systems APIs and microservices. This is particularly relevant for integrating AI technology into existing infrastructure at JumpCloud.

Where youll be working/Location:
JumpCloud is committed to being Remote First meaning that you are able to work remotely within the country noted in the Job Description.

Please note: There is an expectation that our engineers participate in oncall shifts. You will be expected commit to being ready and able to respond during your assigned shift so that alerts dont go unaddressed.
Language:
JumpCloud has teams in 15 countries around the world and conducts our internal business in English. The interview and any additional screening process will take place primarily in English.
