This highlyvisible role is not a typical Treasury job in the corner of the company detached from the business and customers it is an integral role vital to the companys financial strength risk management product offerings and growth profile as a public company in the newly created Product Enablement and Payment Rails.
This is a great opportunity for a leader who is passionate about the financial technology industry in the payments space to make an impact by contributing to transform and build BILLs payment platform with worldclass technology with risk assessment and mitigation controls. You will have the opportunity to collaborate crossfunctionally in ideating optimizing and building a world class payments landscape to streamline processes enhance transparency and set up a robust global payments engine. This enabler role is pivotal in bridging the gap between product development engineering and risk management by contributing treasury requirements for efficient cash FX and capital management. Most importantly you will be working with great leaders within the organization in a humble environment.
This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Treasury with the opportunity to collaborate with leaders at all levels (Sr. Dir VPs SVPs etc. This is the second head count in the Product & Payment Rails function in the Treasury Team..
Responsibilities:
Treasury Product Enablement and Payment Rails
- Develop a deep understanding of BILLs payment products payment partners features and benefits and product development roadmap
- Liaise with Treasury Operations to cascade product information for downstream impact assessment and advocate for other finance teams engagement.
- Responsible for intake and management of multiple product/gotomarket enablement initiatives across multiple revenue streams and liaise with Treasury Operations to communicate and gather the requirements for seamless product enablement
- Design and determine the best operational measurements for key initiatives postlaunch.
- Backup to the Treasury Operations team to run daily monthly and quarterly operations
Treasury Product Risk Management & Internal Controls
- Support create and implement a money movement internal controls matrix policies and standard operating procedures in partnership with Product Management and Engineering teams
- Conduct deep dive reviews to identify process gaps and risks
- Develop tactical action plans to establish prioritize and measure short/longterm milestones to implement risk controls improvements to close any gaps internal and external solutions
- Participate in the development of a robust product enablement strategic roadmap to support BILLs growth
- Ensure the effective and efficient design of operations and financial controls over money movement processes including a business continuity plan for proper controls and standards
- Benchmark controls with other fintech companies to establish a worldclass payments landscape
Treasury Banking Industry Regulatory Requirements
- Manage and review FBO customer cash balance reports and implement treasury requirements to enhance financial insights.
- Implement cadence for quarterly relationship meetings with banks and payment partners
- Lead regular banking and payment partner meetings to monitor progress on product rollouts and anticipated regulatory developments
Wed love to chat if you have:
- Minimum 8 years work experience and demonstrated success in designing developing and implementing customer payment services at a FinTech company in a Treasury function.
- FinTech/Financial Services experience working with Product required
- Experience partnering with Engineering Finance Legal Payment Operations and external banking partners/payment acquirer/processors
- Excellent work ethic attention to detail and ability to work independently and lead projects.
- Strong critical thinking organizational communication and time management skills.
- Ability to think tactically and understand the impact of individual processes on the big picture
- Comfortable working in a highgrowth and dynamic environment.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills to synthesize and prepare concise flash decks for leadership and present to Finance and broader committees.
- Bachelors degree in business administration finance economics banking or accounting CIA and CISA certification preferred.
The estimated salary range for this role is noted below for our San Jose based role. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience expertise and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above.
