Summary of role
We are seeking an Associate Director (AD) of Direct Materials Sourcing & Procurement to lead the development and of all direct materials sourcing and purchasing activities serving as the accountable individual for such work. This includes but is not limited to negotiations supplier performance and relationship management. As a handson working Associate Director this individual will perform the sourcing activities of a Category Manager in addition to the managerial responsibilities associated with leading the Direct Sourcing and Purchasing team. The individual in this role will also partner internally with Quality Manufacturing R&D Finance and other functions to ensure availability of supply and optimum service price and quality objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Develop and execute Strategic Sourcing plans in line with current and future business objectives to ensure availability of supply and mitigate risk through diversification and other means.
Ensure appropriate pricing quality and service needs are met.
Directly and through leadership of a team foster key supplier relationships manage supplier performance resolve supplier issues and lead regular supplier business reviews.
Lead contract management activities including the negotiation of commercial terms and pricing facilitation of cross functional reviews with internal stakeholders and collaboration with Lantheus Legal
Understand the Procurement functions of SAP S/4Hana and other tools; lead and support buyers in the of system and nonsystem related purchasing tasks
Ensure organizational compliance with all company Procurement & Contracting policies and procedures (and other policies/procedures as applicable). Conduct training auditing and reporting to ensure compliance with all procurement controls.
Build and maintain strong relationships across a matrix organization; Communicate proactively with internal crossfunctional stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure effective and efficient utilization of all resources.
Provide leadership to effectively and efficiently align staff to ensure key initiatives and deadlines are met on an ongoing basis. Identify and leverage individual employee strengths to achieve superior performance of the entire team. Oversee full range of performance management and training needs of staff to foster the growth of the team in support of longterm corporate strategies. Lead and motivate employees by providing feedback and coaching to enhance or improve performance by setting expectations and holding individuals accountable for performance.
Maintain current knowledge of and ensure all work activities are conducted in compliance with the full range of related internal and external systems technology regulatory requirements and related policies and procedures.

Qualifications
BS/BA degree required; MBA/advanced degree preferred
710 years progressive experience in procurement contract management strategic sourcing or similar positions required
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work in a matrixed environment required; Strong attention to detail is necessary
Experience working with ERPs Microsoft Office and procurement systems required (SAP S/4Hana highly preferred)
Strong communication skills (both written and oral) with demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders based on sound business rationale are essential
Perform as player/coach for your staff to produce the results for their respective areas
Experience improving supply chain and supplier performance including the use of cost models and performance metrics
Experience working in radiopharmaceuticals pharmaceuticals or life sciences preferred
Other Requirements
This position requires 3 days/week on site minimum 4 days preferred) in Billerica MA (Bedford MA when appropriate)
Travel approximately 15 in accordance with business requirements
