As a Masters Level Clinician (MLC) at our Autism & Neurodevelopmental Center you will:
Education: Masters Degree in Special Education Early Childhood Education Psychology Social Work Sociology or Counseling.
Licensure: Must be able to obtain and maintain licensure as an LPC LCSW or LMFT. Provisional licensure will be considered.
Experience: Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities developmental disabilities or mental illness.

Definition
The Masters Level Clinician (MLC) performs individual families couples marital group and crisis intervention counseling to clientele who are experiencing social emotional and behavioral difficulties. Additionally may be involved in crisis prevention or aiding with problems with adjustment after a major life event. The MLC will also provide testing as appropriate for license and makes appropriate referrals as needed. The MLC is also responsible for providing training for staff members in regard to implementing general and clientspecific positive behavior supports. The MLC will also act as a liaison between client and community resources as needed. Must have the ability to form and maintain effective counseling relationships with clients to monitor client progress in the therapy process and terminate the relationship in appropriate ways.
The MLC must have excellent reasoning analytical and communication skills. A strong attention to detail patience and perseverance are paramount but it is also important for the MLC be an empathetic emotionally stable leader. The MLC must be able to make treatment recommendations that are data and research based. In addition have the ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The MLC is a salaried exempt position.

Clinical Skills and Expectations
Observe receive and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources.
Diagnoses or evaluates mental and emotional disorders of individuals and administers programs of treatment; interviews patients in clinics and other settings and studies medical and social case histories.
Treats psychological disorders to effect improved adjustments utilizing various psychological techniques; selects appropriate treatment approach and plans frequency intensity and duration of individual group and family therapies.
Provide personal assistance emotional support or other personal care as they pertain to mental health
Analyze information and evaluate results from testing to choose the best solution to solving problems pertaining to the care of clientele.
Identify the underlying principles reasons or facts of information by analyzing behavior and data recorded by staff members. Utilize this information to make treatment recommendations.
Enter transcribe record and store information in written or electronic form relevant to client care as needed.
Analyze data such as interview notes test results and reference manuals to identify symptoms and to diagnose the nature of a clients problems.
Counsel individuals groups or families to help them understand problems define goals and develop realistic action plans.
Develop therapeutic treatment plans based on clients interests needs abilities and any other mitigating factors.
Evaluate the results of counseling methods to determine the reliability and validity of treatments.

Provide therapeutic interventions for individuals in crisis.
Provide parent training on an as needed basis.
Provide group therapy and parent training on an as needed basis.
Collaborate with community psychiatric providers to ensure adequate psychiatric services are provided to clients.
Responsible for productivity of 80 of billable hours
Quality Assurance and Compliance
Ensures all progress notes treatment plans and other relevant documentation is completed withing established timeframes.
Ensures billing is submitted in an accurate and timely manner.
Reviews feedback from clients and uses the data to improve functions of the clinic operations.
Works with the Arc QM department to continually improve quality

The MLC will be a person who is passionate about working with individuals with disabilities. A person in this position should have outstanding and effective critical thinking skills and effective communication qualities as demonstrated by success in prior experience in a human service position.
The MLC should have the capacity to cultivate and maximize Individual and team relationships. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build authentic relationships with clients guardians staff and all internal and external stakeholders is valued.
The MLC will possess a demonstrated capacity for empathy and compassion conflict resolution and confidence in their ability to delegate effectively. They should have the confidence to lead a team of staff which supports a positive performance culture.
Excellent oral and written communications skills are essential as the MLC will often represent The Arc of the Ozarks to various entities.
The MLC will be a collaborative problem solver with critical thinking skills good judgement and logical priority setting skills. They should be a good listener who is accessible and who possesses the ability to adapt and respond effectively to change.
