About the role

  • Lead a dynamic Contact Centre team in providing quality care for clients in Alcohol and Drug Services.

  • Operate statewide telephone and online services for people using alcohol or other .

  • Work within a strengthsbased and harmminimisation framework to deliver personcentred care.

  • Provide drug and alcohol counselling including biopsychosocial assessments and evidencebased interventions.

  • Offer health education advice and referrals to external agencies for further support.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in nursing counselling social work psychology or a related field and eligibility for membership of the relevant professional association.

  • Demonstrated relevant clinical alcohol and drug experience including assessment brief intervention and counselling of clients with substance use problems and coexisting mental health issues.

  • Demonstrated understanding of contemporary approaches to alcohol and drug treatment including harm reduction personcentred and strengthsbased approaches.

  • Ability to identify clients specific needs and provide the appropriate assessments interventions and approaches for an effective solution.

  • Demonstrated strong communication skills (written verbal and via telephone) proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic patient record systems with excellent interpersonal abilities.
