Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel and Country Club is a Jacobeanstyle manor house set in 200 acres of beautiful countryside in Ware Hertfordshire. Woodpanelled libraries and cozy fireplaces coexist with modern amenities renovated event spaces and discerning service.

The Event Coordinator is responsible for proactively soliciting and managing group/cateringrelated opportunities across all sectors of the business from initial enquiry stag to seamless handover to the Event Executive. Ensures business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion. Responsible for driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience. Provides service to our customers to grow the account on behalf of Marriott International across the enterprise. Prepares all event documentation and coordinates with all relevant hotel departments and the customer to ensure consistent highlevel service the enquiry stage.

The Event coordinator takes personal responsibility to adhere to sales and event brand standards for enquiry handling for all events on property (weddings social golf corporate rooms only). Will be required to work weekends and evenings as needed by business needs.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ownership for all inbound inquires on property though all channels
  • Coordination of all customer requirements including communication and completing verbally and in writing with the customer the details of the full event proposal & quote
  • Correct use of systems processes to ensure booking integrity consistency & accuracy
  • Generate incremental revenue and deliver excellent guest service
  • Effectively manages bedrooms blocks and meeting space inventory for assigned groups
  • Conducts compelling show rounds to win the business
  • Focus on building strong relationships and helping grow the Hanbury Manor reputation
  • Understands the overall market competitors strengths and weaknesses economic trends supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them
  • Serves the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations while building a relationship and loyalty to Marriott
