Job Description:
St. Jerome Catholic School is accepting applications for a Learning Support Teacher.The teacher will build a learning support program that works with the faculty and administration of the school to:
Support the needs of all learners in the classroom
Coordinate auxiliary services such as those provided by CORA Catapult Elwyn and other outside providers.
Provide academic and behavioral support where needed.
Communicate with parents and classroom teachers about learning and behavior challenges as well as the supports that could be available.
Serve as a substitute teacher when needed (if building substitutes are already assigned).
Other tasks as required by the program based on its design which will be agreed upon by the principal and learning support teacher.
A bachelors degree is required; PA state certification in special education is required.
