Your work environment at EXP
EXPs Ottawa office is currently seeking a Structural Project Coordinator to join their team working on projects in and around the Ottawa area.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
Under the direction of the Group Leader and Project Manager this individual will:
Assist in conducting reinforcing steel inspections for new building construction
Assist in conducting parking garage and balcony slab condition assessments and preparation of reports
Assist in preparation of repair specifications and drawings for various rehabilitation projects including parking garage balcony slab and other concrete structures
Assist in site reviews for parking structure balcony slab and waterproofing restoration projects and new construction
Produce site observation reports
Assist the Project Manager in contract administration
This individual may be required to interact with the client at the Managers direction
Ensure health and safety policies are adhered to at all sites and report to Manager and Joint Health and Safety Committee Members
Participate in/perform other technical and administrative tasks as requested by EXP Services
Some regional travel may be required
Will be required to use suspended access equipment
What your experience looks like
University degree in Civil Engineering (Structural background) Building Science or a related field is an asset
Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
Experience with AutoCAD is an asset
Fully conversant with Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) applications
A valid drivers license and vehicle is required
A motivated selfstarter with a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
Strong organizational and time management skills as well as attention to detail
