Position Summary:
As an Engineering Design Tech you will work closely with Sales Sales Engineering Project Engineering Controls and Service teams to create necessary documentation to sell produce install and operate Key Technology equipment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Translate customer requirements into a 2D/3D Cad layout of a system in cooperation with Project Engineering.
- Generate specifications from detailed mechanical layouts for manufacture of the equipment.
- Take responsibility for all incoming & outgoing documents involving sales drawings.
- Work independently to collect: i) information to create the drawings ii) measurements on site and iii) required information from subcontractors.
- Create specifications for special features.
Education and/or Experience:
- Associates degree (A. A. in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent from twoyear college; and/or CAD certificate training and 3 years of experience in this industry.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD including proven working experience with 3D AutoCAD and Solid Works.
- Materials handling aptitude.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Windows and databases.
- Proven ability to multitask and work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Adaptable flexible and proactive. Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to conceptualize new designs from scratch.
