Job Description
Lead Document Controller
OTTOs opportunity:
OurLead Document Controller is responsible for directing and managing OTTOs Document Control system; including managing company technical documentation procedures and instructions. Lead and direct Document Control Clerks to assure company adherence to requirements and proper operation of OTTOs Document Management system. Additionally the Lead Document Controller will work with the Quality Systems Manager to improve the Document Control system with respect to thruput accuracy and efficiency.
Note: Experience working in a manufacturing environment managing engineering documents Bills of Material control plans and manufacturing documentation is a must; additionally auditing / financial / accounting experience is not applicable to this position.
Specifically the Lead Document Controller will:
- Ensure proper maintenance and control of all OTTO drawings ISO documentation records and externally generated documentation
- Provide support and backup to Document Control Clerks
- Provide training and crosstraining for Document Control personnel as well as Farm Team members
- Develop policies & procedures to improve OTTOs Document Control system
- Monitor and maintain various metrics to identify actual or potential data or system gaps/deficiencies and provide solutions to eliminate or minimize the overall impact
- Implement new metrics as applicable
- Assure complete accurate and timely updates of Management Review data charts and reports
- Lead or assist in implementing Quality Dept improvement initiatives
- Provide support to the Inspection dept. to assure prompt and accurate creation of QC Items and/or receivers
- Participate in the maintenance of OTTOs ISO 9001 AS9100 and ISO 14001 registrations
- Provide support and advise staff
- May lead and direct the work of others
- Assist with other related duties as required or assigned
What youll need to bring to the table:
- Associated degree in Business Management or a technical field or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years Engineering/Document Control experience in a manufacturing environment
- Leadership experience a must
- Computer literate in MS Outlook Word Excel and Access at an intermediate to advanced level
- Requires selfmotivation and ability to complete projects with strict guidelines
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must be detail oriented
- Requires the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Project Management experience a must
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 ISO 14001 and AS9100
- Working knowledge of Windows based ERP systems Syteline preferred
What OTTO offers for this specific position:
The hiring range listed in this posting is what we in good faith anticipate relying on when confirming a base salary for this position; exceptions may be considered for highly experienced candidates with multiple years of atlevel experience.
- Target base salary hiring range: $55000 to $60000 based on qualifications and experience.
- Profit Sharing Bonus OTTO believes that its fair to share the profits that the employees help to make; profit sharing is distributed to employees twice a year. OTTOs profit sharing plan is paid at the discretion of the company and is not a guaranteed bonus or any part of a compensation plan.
- Vacation: 80 hours vacation time is earned on the anniversary date.
