JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Associate Director of Business Affairs the Controller will coordinate budget and financial planning processes prepare Board budgets and all subsequent revisions coordinate audits and support senior administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinates annual budgets process at Board school and department level;
Prepares working papers for internal and external audits;
Undertakes on-going forecasting analysis given changes to the internal and external environment;
Prepares financial staffing enrolment reports and long range projections for a variety of purposes including Committees Board senior administration legislative reporting and audit;
Validates ministry calculations for financial information;
Prepares various financial reports including analysis for committee Board internal and external audits;
Prepares monthly and year-end financial reports/ statements/claims and banking reports for committee Board and auditor;
Ensures performance metrics are developed tracked and reported;
Maintains chart of accounts analyzes and creates new accounts and updates and/or creates system forms;
Ensures optimization of information systems and data management processes and outcomes.
