Group PV O&M Manager
Position Overview:
Leap29 are looking for a versatile Group PV Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager to be responsible for overseeing the operational efficiency of photovoltaic assets across all regions spanning Europe Asia South America and Africa.
My client is a prominent player in the energy transition dedicated to driving sustainable solutions across Europe and globally. They specialise in innovative renewable energy projects with a strong focus on C&I and energy efficiency initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the adoption of the Groups monitoring system across all PV assets for realtime performance tracking.
- Lead the implementation of a standardized Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) providing training and support to local teams to optimise O&M processes.
- Regularly monitor analyse and report on PV plant performance metrics using the PowerBI platform identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
- Oversee the consolidation and analysis of maintenance practices to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to Group standards.
- Develop and share technical best practices with regional teams to enhance operational efficiency and maximize energy output.
- Research and integrate cuttingedge O&M strategies to maintain a competitive edge in PV asset management.
- Establish high maintenance standards through standardized contractual clauses and performance KPIs fostering collaboration with external providers.
- Assist Business Units (BUs) in building and managing relationships with maintenance contractors to align on objectives and promote continuous improvement.
- Work with financial and asset management teams to maximize revenue by recovering billable services from clients.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of O&M budgets providing insights to refine financial forecasting.
- Collaborate with HSE teams to ensure compliance with health safety and environmental standards across all O&M activities.
- Implement strategies to minimize operational risks and maintain high HSE standards ensuring a safe working environment across all PV assets.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Mechanical or Energy Engineering.
- At least 10 years in PV O&M management or a similar role within the renewable energy sector.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in French Portuguese or Spanish is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of PV systems monitoring platforms and CMMS tools.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools such as MS Excel PowerBI and remote monitoring systems.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proactive autonomous and organized with a focus on results.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in asset management or project management.
- Experience in international settings with an understanding of local regulatory and cultural considerations across diverse regions.
